Søren Kierkegaard was a Danish philosopher and theologian who was a major figure in the development of existentialism. He is best known for his works Fear and Trembling, The Sickness Unto Death, and Either/Or. He was a critic of modern society and advocated for a return to individualism and subjectivity. He argued that people should live authentically, by embracing their own unique beliefs and values, instead of conforming to the norms and conventions of the society they live in. His philosophy is still relevant today, as it speaks to the importance of living a meaningful life and finding one’s own purpose.
