To be Deicide by Stefano Donno

Deicide is an American death metal band formed in 1987 in Tampa, Florida. The band's lineup has consisted of vocalist and bassist Glen Benton, guitarists Eric Hoffman and Kevin Quirion, and drummer Steve Asheim. Deicide is known for their controversial lyrics, which often deal with themes of Satanism and anti-Christianity.

The band's debut album, "Deicide," was released in 1990 and featured the hit single "Lunatic of God's Creation." The album received critical acclaim and helped to establish Deicide as one of the leading bands in the death metal genre. Deicide's follow-up album, "Legion," was released in 1992 and continued to showcase the band's brutal sound and controversial themes.

Throughout the 1990s, Deicide released a series of successful albums, including "Once Upon the Cross," "Serpents of the Light," and "Insineratehymn." In addition to their musical endeavors, the members of Deicide have also been involved in various controversies, including allegations of animal cruelty and accusations of Satanism.

In the 2000s, Deicide continued to release albums and tour internationally, with their most recent release being "Overtures of Blasphemy" in 2018. Despite lineup changes and controversy, Deicide remains a influential and popular band in the death metal scene.
