To be Parmenide by Stefano Donno

Parmenides was a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher who lived in the 5th century BCE. He was born in Elea, a Greek city in southern Italy. Parmenides is known for his poem "On Nature," in which he argues that reality is unchanging and eternal, and that change and multiplicity are mere illusions. He proposed that the only true reality is an unchanging, eternal, and unchanging substance that he called "the One." Parmenides' ideas had a significant impact on the development of Western philosophy, particularly on the work of Plato and Aristotle. His concept of the unchanging reality was later called as "Parmenidean Being" and it is considered as a basis of metaphysics.
